Not the same as coupon codes
Coupons are codes customers enter at checkout (or you apply on a manual order). Menu discounts show on the storefront for everyone. An item discount wins over a drop-wide discount. They do not stack on the same line.

- Can I run a coupon and a menu discount together?
- The sale price is what they see on the item. A coupon is a separate checkout code. Use one or both depending on the promo, and check the order total before you publish.
- Do I have to change every product price by hand?
- No. Set the drop or item discount once instead of rewriting the catalog.
