Easter menu ideas
Easter morning is when your customers are cooking, not when you should be. Sell food that is finished the day before.
- Hot cross buns by the half-dozen or dozen. One dough, one glaze.
- A brunch box: buns plus a small cookie or bar, one price, one box.
- Decorated cookie sets (eggs or bunnies) only if the icing is a design you can repeat.
- Sweet rolls if you already make them weekly. Do not invent a laminated pastry for this weekend.
- Skip lamb cakes and custom centerpieces unless that is already your business.
Timing for 2027
- March 8-12: lock the menu and order packaging.
- March 15: open preorders.
- March 23 or 24: close orders so you can proof and bake.
- March 26: bake day.
- March 26-27: pickup. Friday evening and Saturday cover most brunches.
- Leave Sunday off the pickup list if you want the holiday.
Buns need a close date more than cookies do
Cookie dough can wait a day. Enriched bun dough does not like a surprise double batch on Saturday morning. The quantity limit on buns should be the number you can shape in one session, not the number of people who liked the photo. If you sell out of buns, offer the cookie set. Do not promise a few more dozens in messages.

When should Easter preorders close?⌄
Two to four days before bake day. For a March 26 bake, that is around March 23 or 24. Closing the night before means you shop and shape in a panic.
Can I reuse my Christmas cookie box setup?⌄
Yes for the workflow: a short menu, quantity limits, pickup windows, and one link. Change the items. A Christmas assortment with a bunny sticker on the box is not an Easter menu.
