Gift boxes that pack the same way every time

A gift box works when every order uses the same tin, the same ribbon, and the same count. If each box is a different mix, you are running a custom shop for one weekend.

• A 6-cookie or brownie box with ribbon. One size.
• A 12-piece box for families. Same contents, larger tin.
• Cupcakes by the four if cottage rules allow and you can frost them Friday.
• A brunch pastry pack for Saturday morning pickup: scones or rolls you already know how to bake.
• A card only if it is pre-printed or a one-line note you can write while the box is open. Do not offer calligraphy.

Timing for 2027

• April 20-24: choose the box, price packaging, and order ribbon and tins.
• April 26: open preorders.
• May 5: close orders. Wednesday close leaves Thursday to shop and Friday to bake.
• May 7: bake day.
• May 7-8: pickup. Friday evening and Saturday morning will be the busy windows.
• Do not add a Sunday morning window unless you want to be packing during the holiday.

Friday and Saturday are the whole business

Demand clumps. If you offer one five-hour Saturday window, you will have a line and melted frosting. Split Saturday into two short windows and limit how many boxes go in each. When a window is full, the next order takes the other window or waits for next year.
