Turn on payment methods

Open Payments & Tax
Go to Manage → Payments & Tax. You start on the Payments tab.

Turn on a method
Switch on each method you accept and add your details, like your Venmo username or the email for Interac e-Transfer.

Save
Tap Save Payment Methods. The count at the bottom shows how many methods are on.
Which methods you'll see
- United States: Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle.
- Canada: Interac e-Transfer.
- Both: PayPal, Cash, and Other (write your own instructions).
- Your bakery's Country in Bakery Profile decides the list.
Card checkout with Stripe (optional)
In the Stripe row, tap Connect with Stripe and finish Stripe's setup. When the row says Connected, customers can pay by card on your storefront. Stripe charges its own card fees. BakeryFlow doesn't take a cut.
How payment works on an order
- Card: the order is accepted when checkout completes.
- Cash: the order is accepted right away and paid at pickup.
- Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, Interac, and Other: the order stays Pending until you tap Confirm Payment Received.
FAQ
- Do I need Stripe?
- No. Many home bakers only use Venmo, Interac e-Transfer, or cash. Stripe is optional.
- Why can't I publish my drop?
- You need at least one payment method turned on. The app shows Payment Methods Required with a Setup Payments button that takes you there.
