What is a drop?

How a drop works

You decide what you'll make, how many of each item you can take, and when people pick up. Customers order while pre-orders are open. When ordering closes, you bake from the Bake List instead of guessing from DMs.

Drop vs bake day

• Drop: the sale event in the app (menu, caps, pre-order open and close, pickup, share link).
• Bake day: the day you bake what you sold on that drop.

What goes into a drop

• A title, a drop date, and when pre-orders open and close.
• Menu items from your products. Prices come from each product. You set how many of each you can take.
• Pickup windows: a location plus a time on the drop date.
• Optional sale: a drop-wide discount or a discount on single items.

Create your first drop

   Start a drop

   On the Drops tab, tap New drop. (The Store tab has a New Drop button too.)

   Basics

   Add a Drop Title, the Drop Date, and when Pre-orders Open and Pre-orders Close. Pre-orders must close before the drop date. Tap Next.

   Menu

   On Add products, tap each product you're selling. Then tap On menu, tap each item, and set its Max Qty. Tap Next.

   Pickup

   Tap Add pickup window, choose a Pickup location, and set the Pickup time. Tap Next.

   Review and publish

   Check the details and tap Publish Drop. You need at least one payment method turned on in Manage → Payments & Tax first.

What you see next

The drop shows on the Drops tab under Upcoming until pre-orders open, then under Ongoing. Customers see it on your storefront link. They don't need the BakeryFlow app. Not ready yet? Tap Save Draft in the wizard and finish it later from Drafts.
