Add products
- 1
Open the Menu step
On the Drops tab, tap New drop, fill in Basics, and tap Next. To change a drop you already made, open it, tap Edit Drop, then tap Next.
- 2
Tap a product
On Add products, tap a product's row to put it on the menu. A short Added message shows. Tap View menu on it to jump to On menu.
- 3
Add variants
A product with variants has a Variants button with a count, like Variants (2). Tap it to see them, then tap each one you want, or tap Add all to add the product and its variants together.
- 4
Set Max Qty
Tap On menu, tap each item, and set its Max Qty. On a new drop every item starts at 0 and needs a number above 0 before you can tap Next.
What you see on the On menu tab
Each item is one row with its price, its max, and labels like Variant, Options, or a discount. Tap a row to open it, and tap it again to close it. Inside you'll find:
- Max Qty: tap − or +, or type a number.
- Add discount: turn it on, choose Percent or Fixed $, and enter the amount.
- Options, on products that have option sets: tap it to turn choices on or off for this drop or set a Stock cap. See Options and variants.
Take a product off
On the On menu tab, tap the trash icon on the item's row. A Removed message shows with Undo, so you can put it back with the same settings.
Change the order
You can't drag items on the Menu step. Once 2 or more items are on the menu, tap Arrange menu at the top of On menu to reorder them or group them into sections. See Menu sections and Arrange menu.
Good to know
- Search products... at the top filters the tab you're on.
- Drop-wide sale sits above the tabs and applies to every item.
- A product you add goes into No section, which shows above your sections. Use Arrange menu to move it.
- Items you add while editing a drop start at a Max Qty of 10. Check it before you save.
- Missing a product? Tap Add New Product at the bottom of Add products.
- Nothing is saved until you tap Save Draft, Publish Drop, or Save Changes on Review.
Change the menu on a live drop
Once pre-orders open, open the drop and tap Edit Drop. On the Menu step you can still:
- Add products. They go on sale when you tap Save Changes.
- Raise or lower Max Qty, but not below the number sold. Each row shows how many have sold.
- Change the Drop-wide sale and item discounts.
- Turn option choices on or off and change a Stock cap, but not below what's sold. A choice you add needs a Stock cap.
- Use Arrange menu to reorder items and change sections.
- On Basics, change the Drop Title, Description, and Cover Image, or extend Pre-orders Close.
What's locked on a live drop
- Items already on the drop can't come off the menu. Their row has no trash icon, and opening it shows On sale now, so it can't come off the menu.
- Drop Date and Pre-orders Open.
- Pickup windows. The Pickup step says Pickup windows are locked because ordering is open.
- To stop selling one item, set its Max Qty to the number sold. It shows as sold out. To stop all orders, tap Close Drop.
If you used the old menu step
- The product list is now the Add products tab, and the Selected list is now the On menu tab.
- Adding products no longer pushes the list down. Switch tabs to see what's on the menu.
- Max Qty, Add discount, and Options moved inside each item. Tap the item's row on the On menu tab.
- To take a product off, tap its trash icon instead of unticking it.
- Hold and drag to reorder is gone from this step. Use Arrange menu.
- Variants still open from the Variants button, and Add all adds a whole group.
FAQ
- Why does Next say Quantity Required?
- An item on the menu has a Max Qty of 0. Tap On menu, tap the item, and set a number above 0.
- Where did dragging to reorder go?
- It moved to Arrange menu. On the On menu tab, tap Arrange menu, then hold the grip next to an item and drag it.
- Can I take an item off a drop that's taking orders?
- No. Items already on a live drop stay on the menu. Set its Max Qty to the number sold so it shows as sold out.
